Norcross v Thornton-Cleveleys

The 1st XI eased to another local derby vicory against Thornton-Cleveleys. Debutant Jordan Beech removed Neil Currie and Graham Smith while new captain Steve Hill accounted for 4 batsmen including dangerman James Booth.

Roger Garlick and Ian Davies also gave solid efforts with the ball.

Norcross started well with the bat despite Rick Blampied falling for a duck. Chris Allan continued where he left off last season with a superb 45. Adam Jackson and Lee Helm contributed with decent scores to give the 1st XI their first opening day victory for many a year.
